One-Two Day Intensives in the I Matter Framework
STOP PRESS: We are excited to be working with Morecambe Bay CCG to run a conference for South Cumbria ICC's on Thursday 19th September 2019 to share some of the learning from Kendal ICC. Please contact Ruth.Threlfall to submit expressions of interest
The interview here is with a GP who has been working with us as part of the Kendal ICC to use the I Matter Framework as a foundation on which to draw together professionals around a shared approach to supporting families.
A one-day intensive is designed for professionals who want to get a big picture overview of what the I Matter Framework is all about and to start conversations about how to improve the wellbeing of children and families in your locality with other professionals in your locality.
A two day intensive offers a chance to develop your locality action plan so that you can start to integrate the implications of the i Matter Framework into everyday practices
In work with the Kendal Integrated Community we have seen the huge benefits of offering training to GP's and schools who are operating to support children and families in their own locality patch. Often GP's and schools get to know the same families. However they much more rarely have an opportunity to think together about the needs of these families
We are now starting to offer introductory training to clusters of professionals in locality patches so that they can work together more effectively
The training aims to:
+ Introduce the core elements of the i Matter Framework
+ Support reflection and discussions
+ Build locality based relationships
+ Support the growth of local practice networks
We run some one day intensives ourselves as part of our regular schedule.
We can also run events inhouse for a professional cluster
Participants to the one or two day courses can also upgrade to take part in the online Foundation training.
