The I Matter Community Wheel
Online Learning is Great but Face to Face Networks Matter
How To Support Yourself and Others
The Community Wheel is developing in Kendal as a local way to build relationships and support professionals and parents who want to maintain their learning and extend the I Matter thinking. We have been inspired by the University of the Third Age which provides a vibrant community of stimulating activities for members. So our plan is to run regular closed and open events. Watch this space!
When it comes to addressing the needs of an indivdual child, or a group or a whole community of children no adult can work alone.
However it can be hard to work with others without clarity on some shared ideas The I Matter Framework can assist you in building healthy partnerships with others + at home + at school + in the community The need is to look around and ask yourself which relationships need attention and where is my community located? What will help me in my role AND what role could I play that will help others? |
On the blog you will find some of the original blog articles and musings on why adult-child relationships
matter for mental health, positive behaviour and healthy child development at home and in school.
