Inspiration
In the area of developing resources to support parenting-caring confidence with challenging or complex children, there are a range of organisations doing great work Here are a few that I have been inspired by:
Patty Wipfler - Hand in Hand Parenting
Lori Petro - Conscious Communication - TEACH through Love
Empowering Parents
Margaret Paul - Inner Bonding
Howard Glasser - Nurtured Heart
Incredible Years
Solihull Approach
Mellow Parenting
Family Lives
ParentingUK
The Thrive Approach
Relationship Development Intervention - Stephen Gutstein
Floortime - Stanley Greenspan
Bruce Perry - Child Trauma Academy
Dan Hughes - DDP Training
This is all great work - in my view however - too many of the core models and practices are still taught in overly child focussed fashion - unintentionally overlooking just how stressed and overwhelmed key adults often are - and how significant this is.
Interventions may discuss the importance of 'self care' but at a theoretical levels there are some very key overlooked reasons why thiis is not just a nice ideas
In I Matter Training this is why we don't start with parenting skills at all - we start with understanding stress states in adults and children and some of the key linked theory ideas taught in a very practical accessible approach. This, in my view, is an absolutely necessary foundation piece which must be attended to first - on which other work and skills development can then be built.

Podcasts and TED talks
There are some fantastic talks to be found on the web. Here are just a few I found recently that represent people thinking in a joined up fashion about some of the complex challenges we face going forward as a human species on our small beautiful planet:
We can end Poverty - This is Why We Haven't
Darren ‘Loki’ McGarvey on poverty, personal responsibility and rap
Best TED talks on poverty
