Link Professional Training: Informally Supporting Others

The Link Professional role is by application and is open to applications from professionals who have completed Foundation A Training (as a minimum). The purpose of the Link role is to to extend the supportive informed networks for both professionals and parents who want to take part in our supported courses.
Key roles are as follows
Independent Link Professional - requires professional membership
Organisational Link Professional - requires professional membership and an organisational licence to cover information sharing agreements and access.
Benefits of the Link Professional Role: You can
1. Demonstrate your commitment to adult-child well-being practice through use of our link members logo
1. Ensure you get maximum value from your investment in your training by helping us share this thinking with out into your own community
2. Act as an approved informed professional named person for another professional or parent applying to take part in supported Foundation learning courses.
3. Be licensed to offer informal networking eg an occasional phone call or a coffee, or you will
4. Offer I Matter Training online learning to your own clients as an extra to your own specialist skills offer with a Link Professional discount code
5. Increase your profile as a link professional by being listed on our professionals directory
5. Extend your access to further training opportunities through applying to join our team of:
Volunteer study supporters - to assist with Foundation A courses
Volunteer online coaches - to assist with Foundation B courses
Lead Professionals
Please note: as a link professional you will not (and should not) provide regular formal I Matter support sessions unless these are organised in partnership with an approved Lead professional or in an approved role as a volunteer study supporter or online coach)
Training Requirement
Following your application there will be a short training that aims to clearly set out the expectations of the Link Professional role. These run on a rolling programme.
Prerequisites to apply for the Link role
Completion of Foundation A including attendance at group webinars and participation in forum and submission of completed workbook
an active membership subscription with our network are required to apply for a Link Professional role
Costs:
Costs of Foundation A training and network
Costs of Link Professional Members resource file - with link to your name on our directory QR Code linked
If you are representing a member school or service you will also need SLT support and an annual school membership
You will have
+ a listing on the directory
+ a link professional members badge
+ a link members QR code for your course notes
How to Apply
You can apply to the Link Professional program each term with applications due by the last day of the previous term. Please note places on the programme are currently limited. Please contact us to request further details
