I Matter Questionnaire: Informal and Formal
For those who are progressing on an I Matter journey involving supported online learning there is an important process of thinking about your starting points. We support you in this process using the I Matter Questionnaire (or I Matter Q for short) The explanations for this are included in the First Steps course
The informal I Matter Q in the First Steps Course helps you to do a self-assessment. The formal I Matter Questionnaire enables us to offer your a more detailed process of thinking about the current challenges with an experienced I Matter trained professional and will include the provision of informed recommendations and provides a method of reviewing progress over time.
In sum:
+ the informal I Matter Q - supports a self-assessment process
+ the formal I Matter Q which is a detailed questionnaire helps you to start thinking in depth about your focus child's challenges and your relationship
+ wherever possible we recommend that the formal I Matter Q is supported with a face to face consultation with an experienced I Matter trained professional
+ we use the formal I Matter Q to offer you further clear recommendations and then can return to it periodically to review progress.
When working with partners the costs of the consultation process after completion of the I Matter Q can sometimes be supported. We are also working on fund raising to make this more accessible for lower income families.
